DouTua Reserva

Tasting Notes
DouTua is born where the Douro meets the Tua river. It is a singular wine, shaped by the beauty of the place, the intensity of the heat and the qualities of the soil.
The Reserva comes from a low-yielding single vineyard of around 20 years, mainly Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz. The grapes are trodden in lagar and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. After malolactic fermentation, the wine spends 18 months in 500-litre French oak barrels.
The nose shows forest fruits, black fruit, redcurrant and plum, with balsamic notes from the barrel. The palate is structured and firm, with rounded tannins and a smooth, elegant finish. Drink now or keep in the bottle. Serve between 16 ºC and 18 ºC.
