FozTua Grande Reserva

Tasting Notes
A passion for the Douro brought the producer to Foz do Tua, drawn by its beauty and terroir. FozTua Grande Reserva was his first wine and took its name from the place, which is screen-printed on the label.
It comes from a low-yielding single vineyard of around 20 years, planted mainly with Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. After treading in lagar, it ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The 2020 vintage spent 17 months in new 500-litre French oak barrels.
A modern profile, with black fruit (plum, blueberry, fig) and balsamic touches from the barrel that add complexity. The palate is full-bodied, firm and ripe, with silky tannins and a long, persistent finish. It will age well in the bottle. Serve between 16 ºC and 18 ºC.
