DouTua Grande Reserva

Tasting Notes
DouTua is born where the Douro meets the Tua river. It is a singular wine, shaped by the beauty of the place, the intensity of the heat and the qualities of the soil.
The Grande Reserva comes from a low-yielding single vineyard of around 40 years, planted with Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. Treading in lagar continues through the first 24 hours of phenolic extraction, and the wine is then vinified in stainless steel vats under controlled temperature and environment. It ages for 18 months in used 500-litre French oak barrels.
Deep purple-red in colour, with ripe red fruit and touches of spicy toast on the nose. Harmonious and lively, it has ripe, well-polished tannins and a fine balance between freshness and complexity. Serve between 16 ºC and 18 ºC, decanting beforehand.
