Ponto Falso

red

Tasting Notes

Deep, dense ruby, showing great concentration and structure from the start. The nose is highly aromatic, with ripe black fruit, jam and spice, along with some volatility and slight departures from the usual Costureiro profile.

Full-bodied and powerful on the palate, with firm tannins and expressive volume. The fruit is ripe and enveloping, with an imperfect integration of alcohol and acidity that gives it a rustic character outside the classic register.

This is not a consensus wine but one of character. It celebrates the unexpected in a structured, powerful and authentic red, bottled purely for its fascinating difference.

Serve between 16 ºC and 18 ºC, decanting beforehand.

Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, followed by a minimum of 20 months in new 500-litre French oak barrels. On 10 November 2025, 2,290 bottles of 750 ml and 120 bottles of 1500 ml were bottled.
