Tasting Notes

The FozTua Very Very Old Red is the result of rare patience and a continuous search among small producers who preserve true gems, often safeguarded over several generations. Its origin lies in exceptionally old Port wines, selected for their authenticity, depth, and the distinctive character that only long years of cask ageing can deliver.

The creation of this blend required a meticulous process of selection and waiting, guided by detailed assessments that ensured harmony between very old wines of great complexity. The result is a Port of singular expression, marked by concentrated notes, an enveloping texture, and an elegance that only decades of maturation can reveal.

The presentation of the FozTua Very Very Old Red seeks to honour the time and dedication that shaped its journey, reflecting absolute respect for Douro tradition and for the historical value of the reserves from which it originates.

On 2 December 2024, 1,703 bottles of 500 ml were filled, each preserving a unique fragment of this Douro legacy.
